Clarence Fox, 78, of Green Mountain, passed away peacefully in his home on April 14, 2017.  He was the son of the late Hicks Columbus Fox and Vera Gladys Hensley Fox.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his twin sister, Clairrean Boyd as well as his sister, Dorothy Arrwood.  Mr. Fox will always be remembered as a hard working man, with a great love of riding and caring for horses.

Mr. Fox is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Senia McCurry Fox; daughters: Sanja Moore of Green Mountain, Regina Stanton of Alexander, Vickie Stinson and her husband, Gary of Burnsville; son, Terry Clarence Fox and his wife, Pam of Green Mountain; special niece, who was like a daughter, Kay Silvers and her husband Ralph of Nebo; sisters, Katherine Higgins of Arden and Norma Jean Shankles and her husband, Tom of Albany, OR; special cousin, Doug Fox; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.  Many more nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 1pm-2pm at Yancey Funeral Services.  Funeral services will follow at 2pm in the Chapel of Yancey Funeral Services with Rev. Ricky Honeycutt and Rev. Trent Honeycutt officiating. Interment will follow at Peter Honeycutt Cemetery.

TO THE FAMILY OF CLARENCE FOX: SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. HE WILL SURELY BE MISSED BY EVERYONE. HE WAS A GOOD MAN. NO MATTER WHERE YOU SEEN HIM HE WOULD ALWAYS SPEAK TO YOU. GOD NEEDED ANOTHER ANGEL IN HEAVEN WITH HIM. NO MORE SUFFERING OR PAIN.MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL. I WILL BE PRAYING FOR THE FAMILY.

Senia and family, Praying for God's comfort for all of you. Clarence was one of my favorite patients. He was a good person - kind and generous and a Godly man. He is now soaring with the angels. I love you all.
