Bobby Ingram, age 75, of Micaville, passed away on Monday, January 8th, 2018 at the Charles George VA Medical Center. A native of Mitchell County, he was a son of the late Ray and Ruth Penley Ingram. Bobby was an Army Veteran having served in the Vietnam War. After retiring from textiles he worked at Walmart for 10 years and enjoyed his work there. He loved buying and selling at flea markets. Bobby will always be remembered for his friendliness, caring and kind heart.
Surviving is his wife of 50 years, Barbara Ray Ingram; son, James Brian Ingram and wife, Shannon, of Hickory; grandchildren: Christopher, Amber and Rachel; sister-in-law, Thelma Parmelee and a brother-in-law, Phillip Ray and wife, Sally. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 12th in the Chapel of Yancey Funeral Services. Pastor Randal Phillips will officiate. Burial will follow in the Carroway Cemetery with Military Honors Conducted by the Sgt. E.L. Randolph Chapter #57 D.A.V. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
