Ennis Grace Hardin, age 82, of Lickskillet, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 6th, 2018 at CarePartners Solace Center. A native of Yancey County, she was the daughter of the late Earlis and Jennie Silvers Crain. She was also preceded in death by sisters: Louise Phillips and Dora Robinson and two brothers: Johnny and Tommy Crain. Ennis was a former member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
Surviving is two daughters: Deborah Meade and Pam Strickland both of Burnsville; grandchildren: Allen Ray, Donavon Meade and wife, Sarah, Jerry Lee Meade, Angela Garland, Wesley Meade and Tyler Strickland; two great-grandchildren: Leon and Dean; siblings: Margaret Young and husband, Robert, of Burnsville, Joyce Riddle of Weaverville, Theresa Collins and husband, Kenneth, of Dysartsville, Albert Crain and wife, Pauline, of Marion and Kenneth Crain of Dysartsville and her beloved dog, Opie. A multitude of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, September 13th in the Chapel of Yancey Funeral Services. Rev. Jerry Shelton will officiate.
