JoAnn McCurry Quesenberry, age 54, of Jonesborough, TN, formerly, of the Clearmont Community, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 7th, 2019 at the Ballard Hospice House in Bristol, TN after a lengthy battle with cancer. A native of Yancey County, she was preceded in death by her father, Bill McCurry and her grandparents who raised her, Dock and Bertha Tipton McCurry. JoAnn was a 1983 graduate of Mountain Heritage High School and received a degree in Business Administration from AB Tech. She worked with OMC for over 17 years and was an Office Manager at both Traco Doors and Window in Johnson City, TN and Creative Masonry in Greeneville, TN. She loved working on computers and being a mother.
Surviving is her loving husband of 17 years, Keith Quesenberry; daughter, Amanda Nicole Quesenberry; sister, Julia Banks and husband, Lenny, of Clearmont; brother, Ray McCurry of Georges Fork; nieces and nephews: Brandy Crain, Dylan Banks, Alyssia Banks, Dakota Banks and Colton Brooks and great-niece and great-nephew: Lyla Grace Crain and Gabriel Banks.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 11th in the Chapel of Yancey Funeral Services. Rev. Dale Banks will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday in the Sulphur Springs Cemetery in Jonesborough.
