Leonard’s great joy in life was his family. He was a loving husband and wonderful father. He was an awesome grandfather, great-grandfather and great, great-grandfather. He helped raise his grandson Hansel as his own and loved him with all his heart. Leonard loved life and having a good time. His warm smile and fun loving ways never left him even while his health was declining. He would often get the doctors and nurses laughing even when he wasn’t feeling well.
The other joy in Leonard’s life was going to church. He went to church faithfully until his health would no longer allow.
The family would like to thank everyone at Cannon Memorial Hospital. During Leonard’s illness, we were treated like family and blessed with kindness, caring and compassion in every department. We would also like to acknowledge the dedication of his brother Earl and wife, Pat and sisters: Helen, Sandra, Janice and husband, Joe, who stood by him through his sickness. We would also like to thank nieces: Jenny Hughes and Libra Hughes for everything they have done.
