Linda Hope Willis Miller, age 79, of the Jacks Creek Community, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 8th, 2020 at her home. A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late Hiram and Birdie Bradford Willis and wife of the late Tony Arvil Miller. She was also preceded in death by siblings: Johnny Willis, Reba Ward and Minie Jane Wilson. Linda was a member of Mine Fork Freewill Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and faithfully served him during her lifetime. She enjoyed working in her garden, canning, and spending time with her church family and her granddaughter, whom she adored.
Surviving is her sons: Craig Miller and Kenneth Miller; granddaughter, Adison Miller; sisters: Mildred Renfro, Dessie Wilson and Martha Tipton and a brother, Ronnie Willis and wife, Veronica, all of Burnsville. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, January 13th in the Chapel of Yancey Funeral Services. Rev. Phillip Fox will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Howell Cemetery.
